For those looking to enjoy a leisurely ride with some light exercise, our beach cruiser bicycles are available at affordable rates:

• $40 / half day - 4 hrs
• $60 / full day - 8 hrs
• $360 / week - 7 day minimum

If you prefer a little extra boost, our e-bikes are an excellent choice. Here’s the pricing breakdown:

• $55 / half day - 4 hrs
• $75 / full day - 8 hrs
• $450 / week - 7 day min

While reservations are not currently required, they are recommended, especially for more than 1 day and during peak seasons to ensure availability. Call/Text the shop to make your plans!

Yes, we can deliver to your location with at least 72 hours of advance notice. 

We charge $50 for a rental drop off and $15 for each additional bike (we charge the same for a pickup).

Renters must abide by all local regulations and laws to rent an e-bike and have an adult present to sign our waiver. There are no age restrictions for beach cruisers, but all local applicable e-bike laws apply. Visit the City of Encinitas site for more:

We require a signature from an adult (18+) on our waiver form if you're renting a bike for your kid(s).

No, we do not offer insurance on our rental fleet. 

Generally your personal homeowner's or renter's insurance policy will cover damages - check with your insurance provider. 

We require 100% payment for any loss or damage at rental completion as outlined in our waiver form.

Currently, we do not offer one-way rentals. Bikes must be returned to the location where they were rented. Check our pickup/drop service prices for more options.

Yes! For a $50 drop charge we can deliver bikes within a 10 mile radius of the shop address. First bike is covered with the drop fee, additional bikes are $15/ea.

If you require more rentals or are outside of the 10 mile radius, call us to make arrangements at (760)436-2786.

If you experience any issues with the bike during your rental, please contact us immediately at (760)436-2786 for assistance.

You may repair a flat tire with the available flat repair kit if you choose.

If you are local and we have staff available at that time, we can travel to you for mobile repair. The drop fee and the cost of the repairs will be charged.

As a courtesy, you are welcome to pick your bike up in the evening before your scheduled rental window time (if that's for an early morning ride that would be the day prior after 5:30pm). Note that this is subject to availability.

Leucadia Cyclery is able to make minor adjustments to find a good riding position (saddle height, handlebars, tire pressure, etc) for you.

We happily offer renter's help from our store to make adjustments to the rental bicycles.

Leucadia Cyclery will refund your reservation fee up to 2 weeks before the reservation's start, minus a 10% credit card processing fee.

Within 1 week of your rental reservation start, there are no refunds. Once you book your reservation, that rental bike or those rental bikes are allocated to you.

If your rental is more than 1 week away, we are happy to change your reservation at no additional cost. 

If it is within a week of your rental period, and the new reservation is for an equal or larger fee and the rental equipment is available, only the difference will be charged.  If it's less than the original amount, we can change it and refund the difference.

If something mechanical is damaged, our standard rates for labor and parts will be charged.

Our bikes/e-bikes are rented out in perfect working condition, and our e-bikes are always fully charged (chargers are available upon request for longer rentals).

We go over each rental upon return to assess any damage or repairs needed.

We accept all popular paymnent methods (major CCs, Apple, Venmo, Paypal, etc). We require a major credit card for bike/e-bike rentals, a valid form of ID, and a signed waiver. Cash rentals are not available.

Unfortunately no, child seats are not available on rentals. CA insurance restrictions limit us from renting child seats on rental bikes.

We do offer large cargo bikes that can accommodate a small child, Leucadia Cyclery waives all liability noted in our waiver form.

No, we don't rent pedals as there are many different styles and fits. We can install your pedals at standard pedal install rates.
